Watermelon Limeade Watermelon Lemonade

Watermelon Limeade with Sugar or Honey

INGREDIENTS = please use organic ingredients

  • 10C Watermelon, cubed
  • 1/4C Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice, about 2-3 Limes
  • 1/4C Wholesome Sweet Brand Sugar, more or less, to taste
  • OR
  • 1/4C Raw, Unpasteurized Honey
  • Optional – fresh mint or Holy-Thai Basil sprigs

DIRECTIONS – juice limes with a citrus juicer. Add to pitcher. Mix in sugar until dissolved. Run the watermelon through a juicer. If you don’t have a juicer, you can blend the watermelon in your blender. Optional – try adding a sprig or two of fresh mint or Holy or Thai Basil leaves, while cold-pressing or blending the watermelon. For blended watermelon, place a wire mesh strainer or sieve over a large, glass mixing bowl. Strain blended watermelon. Discard pulp. Add watermelon juice to the pitcher. Mix well. Pour over ice. Garnish with sprig of fresh mint or Holy-Thai Basil. Or chill before serving.

Optional – use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out watermelon stars. Insert bamboo skewer or mini shish kabob stick. Add to individual glasses as garnish.
