SPICY CARROT JUICE
Fresh pressed carrot juice recipe is a quick & easy, low-calorie way to get more vegetables into your diet. A great to go breakfast that helps weight loss. Fresh arugula gives Spicy Carrot Juice it’s kick. Make it milder with red bell pepper or super spicy with a red jalapeno, chili pepper, or serrano pepper. Also great as a late afternoon pick me up when that snack attack hits or to curb your appetite between meals.
SPICY CARROT JUICE
Makes 1 servings
INGREDIENTS
- 3 Large Carrots
- 1 Small Handful of Arugula
- 1 Stalk Celery
- Italian Parsley
- Lime – fresh squeezed, juice only
- Pepper of your choice, *see note
*NOTE: use 1/2 to 1 red jalapeno, chili pepper, or serrano pepper for a very spicy juice or for mildly spicy juice use 1/2 red bell pepper
DIRECTIONS: squeeze lime and run lime juice only through juicer for a less bitter juice. Run all other ingredients through juicer. Chill until cold or serve over ice. Seeds of the pepper contain the heat. For a less spicy juice discard membranes and seeds of hot peppers like jalapenos, chili peppers, or serrano peppers.
