Electrolyte Popsicles Adults and Kids . Easy, sugar-free, 4 ingredient recipe. Real fruit juice & coconut water. Keeps you & your child hydrated during fever. Healthier and tastier than store-bought electrolyte popsicles.COCONUT WATER contains naturally occurring electrolytes. Like potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, and sodium. It also contains natural sugar. So, if possible, skip the added sweetener.

ELECTROLYTE POPSICLES ADULTS AND KIDS

RECIPE INGREDIENTS

  • 1-1/2C Coconut Water from a bottle or BPA-free can or fresh coconut water {best}
  • 1 Orange or Tangelo or 3 Cuties, Fresh Squeezed
  • 1 Lemon, Fresh Squeezed
  • Optional—1/4C Sweetener, *see note

DIRECTIONS—use a citrus juicer. Juice lemon. And citrus fruit of choice. Choose from: orange, blood orange, tangelo. Or use 2-3: mandarins, cuties, citrines, tangerines. Coconut water is naturally sweet. Add sweetener of choice, if using. Start with 1 tablespoon. Gradually add more. Add one tablespoon at a time. Mix well. Sweeten popsicle mixture to taste. Add more for kids with a sweet tooth. If making electrolyte pops for infants under 1 year of age, do not use honey. For adults trying to lose weight use Stevia. Add 100% liquid Stevia drops to taste. Stevia not recommended for children. Pour mixture into an 8 section popsicle mold. Or other popsicle maker with 1/3 to 1/2 cup capacity per pop. Freeze popsicles until solid. Release from mold and serve.

CAUTION: infants under 1 year of age, should not have raw honey. Do not give electrolyte popsicles to infants under 1 year of age. If made with raw, unpasteurized honey.

*NOTE —if adding a sweetener, choose 1/4C of one of the following sweeteners. Vegan or Paleo Diet options. Use more or less to taste…

  1. PALEO OPTION: Raw, Unpasteurized Honey
  2. VEGAN OPTION: Blackstrap Molasses or Pure Maple Syrup
  3. EITHER OPTION: Coconut or Palm Sugar
  4. LOW-CALORIE: 100% Liquid Stevia Drops, to taste, not recommended for children
