BLACKBERRY PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE RECIPE
Blackberry Pineapple Smoothie Recipe. Use blueberries or blackberries. Dairy-free, antioxidant packed smoothie. Paleo or vegan low-calorie, to go breakfast.
INGREDIENTS—makes 2 servings
•2C Frozen Blackberries OR Blueberries
•1C Frozen Pineapple Chunks
•Optional – add 2-3 Handfuls of Fresh Baby Spinach Leaves
•2C unsweetened Coconut or Almond Milk from the carton not the can, should be 50 calories or less per cup
•1T Acai Berry or Maqui Berry Powder, freeze-dried – optional
•Ice—optional
•Optional garnish – Holy Basil aka Thai Basil Leaves and fresh Blackberries or Blueberries
PLUS A PROTEIN SOURCE, CHOOSE ONE…
•1/4C Hemp Seeds or Hemp Hearts
•1/4C Chia Seeds
•1/4C Almond Butter, no sugar or oil added
•1/2C Cashews, soaked in water until soft
•1/2C Silken Tofu
•1/2C Quinoa, cooked and cooled
•2 Scoops Plant-based Protein Powder
•2 Scoops Egg White Protein
DIRECTIONS: Put all ingredients in the blender and mix well. Add ice to make smoothie thicker or colder, if necessary. Optional, garnish with Thai or Holy Basil leaves and fresh blackberry or blueberries.
