CHERRIES JUBILEE SMOOTHIE BERRY CREAM SMOOTHIE

Cherries Jubilee Smoothie Berry Cream Smoothie. Either way you go, you can’t go wrong. Both recipes make delicious, dairy-free, low calorie smoothies. Yum!

CHERRIES JUBILEE SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2C Frozen Cherries
  • 1C Frozen Strawberries
  • 1/4C Raw Slivered Almonds or 2T Almond Butter
  • 1 Head Baby Romaine Lettuce, you won’t taste it!
  • 1C Unsweetened Coconut or Almond Milk, from a carton not can @ 50 cals/cup or less, *see note
  • Optional—Medjool Date, pitted, as a sweetener
  • Ice, as needed

DIRECTIONS— add all ingredients, except ice, to blender. Blend well, adding ice a few cubes at a time, until smooth. Put smoothie in freezer until chilled, for better taste.

 

BERRY CREAM SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS

  • 1C Frozen Blackberries or Blueberries or 1/2C each
  • 1 Orange or Tangelo, juiced
  • 1 Handful Baby Spinach, you won’t taste it, promise!
  • 1C Coconut Milk, unsweetened, from carton not can @ 50 cals/cup or less, *see note
  • 1/4C Raw Cashews or 2T Cashew Butter
  • Optional—Medjool Date, pitted as a sweetener
  • Ice, as needed

DIRECTIONS— add all ingredients, except ice, to blender. Blend well, adding ice a few cubes at a time, until smooth. Put smoothie in freezer until chilled, for better taste.

  1. 0% Fat Plain Greek Yogurt in place of nuts or nut butter
  2. Silken Tofu in place of nuts or nut butter
  3. Goji Berries, soak first
  4. 1T to 2T Chia Seeds for half the nuts or nut butter
  5. 2T Sprouted Quinoa in place of nuts or nut butter
  6. 1/4C Cooked and Cooled Quinoa in place of nuts or nut butter
  7. 1/4C Quick-cooking Rolled Oats in place of nuts or nut butter
  8. 1T to 2T Raw Cacao Powder – great chocolate flavor
  9. 1T Raw Cacao Nibs – great chocolate flavor
  10. 1T to 2T Hemp Hearts for half the nuts or nut butter
  11. 1 Scoop Hemp Protein Powder in place of nuts or nut butter
  12. 1 Scoop Sprouted Seed and Grain Plant-based Protein Powder in place of nuts or nut butter
  13. 2t Acai Powder, freeze-dried
  14. 2t Maqui Powder, freeze-dried
  15. 2t Pomegranate Powder, freeze-dried
