INGREDIENTS - makes 1 serving
2C milk, preferably unsweetened coconut or almond milk from a carton, 50 cals or less per cup
1 under ripe banana, over ripe bananas have a higher glycemic index
*1 big handful organic baby spinach - you won’t taste it, promise!
1t pure vanilla extract
1T raw cacao powder like Dagoba, preferably not Dutch or alkaline processed cocoa powder
1T raw cacao nibs, 100% raw chocolate nothing added – optional [do not add to children's shake, they contain caffeine]
1 scoop protein powder w/o added sugar—optional
1/2 scoop fiber– optional
Ice - optional
DIRECTIONS: Put all ingredients in the blender and mix well. If the shake is not cold enough then you can add some ice to the blender. If the shake is too thick then add some ice water to the blender.
